GHI’s  staff is comprised of experienced professionals with diverse backgrounds, including earthquake science, engineering, medicine, law, communications, finance and international development. 

Vivek Sharma is an experienced FP&A and Accounting Manager with full cycle bookkeeping, financial planning and reporting, and audit/tax prep capabilities for startups, small businesses & nonprofits. He has a thorough grasp of US GAAP, 501(c)3 and Tax standards, and has vast experience in the field of Nonprofit financial management. He has demonstrated expertise in nonprofit organizational structures and cross-functional team leadership, business process improvements, business development, and strategic planning. Vivek holds a Master of Commerce degree from H.P. University (India).

He started his non-profit journey in 1998 helping women’s self-help groups in India. He worked with multiple nonprofit organizations and cooperatives managing operations, finance, and sales and marketing. He moved to the USA in 2005 and continued his non-profit journey in California. When not working with nonprofits, Vivek spends his time perfecting his yoga practice. He is the founder of Yogi Onsite, and shares his practice as an experienced yoga instructor (RYT 500) with others in the community.
