Janise Rodgers

Janise Rodgers (PhD, PE) is an earthquake engineer whose expertise includes not only the behavior of buildings during earthquakes but also technology transfer and capacity building, experimental and computational research, technical document development, and projects to help make communities safer from multiple natural hazards. Dr. Rodgers is GeoHazards International’s Chief Operating Officer and has managed international projects for GHI since 2005. These projects include mult-hazard vulnerability assessment, seismic retrofit, training of local engineers and policymakers to mitigate risk, policy and regulatory development, mitigation planning, landslide safety, hospital safety, school safety, and development of university curricula. She holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A & M University.
